Flower crowns, dream catchers, and feathers, OH MY! Bohemian styled weddings are on the rise, and ohhh they are fun and whimsical! From the teepees, flowing dresses, flower crowns, dream catchers, feathers and Volkswagons, I couldn’t help myself when pulling images for inspiration for you guys. How cute and creative is this VW get away car? I love this idea because let’s be honest, this VW van makes for the cutest pictures! I love how they added the floral garland and banner sign… the added touches make it even more personalized and colorful.

There is just too much to love in this one image! The colors are the first thing that grabbed my attention, but not the only thing. The use of the fun watercolor runner, with the use of the antlers and gold geo shaped pieces really make this tablescape unique and memorable.

Yes, this bride and her bridesmaids are precious, but check out those outfits! Talk about unique and fun! I love this image and everything in it…including the girl’s clothing. I love how unique each bridesmaids dress is and how it really shows personality. I am also drooling over their floral crowns and their bouquets. Too much pretty in one picture!

I wanted to save this idea for last because I am pretty much obsessed with it. It’s cute. It’s unique. It’s fun. It’s the coolest. You should have one. The End.

It was a no brainer on who this week’s vendor should be. It was a lot of fun flipping through their images to find some of our favorite of their floral designs. It’s no secret that weddings are expensive. But here is another secret; your big day doesn’t have to break the bank. Nowadays with the internet, it is easy to get your hands on gently used wedding items. You can skip the garage sales and local Goodwills and jump right online to browse hundreds and hundreds of recycled wedding sites from your home. As I was putting together this blog, I spent a good amount of time searching the web for some awesome sites and came across some really good, gently used wedding items. I wish I could share all the cool things I found, but that would take all day. Check out a few of my finds:

Did you know that Ruffled had a resale portion to their site? I didn’t!! I had a blast scrolling through the pages of neat stuff for sale. One of my favorite (and trending) finds was this marquee LOVE sign. These are popular and sometimes can be pricy to rent, or even purchase yourself from the store. Check out these fabulous finds! I may be a little biased when it comes to these vases because I had some similar at my wedding, but these are cute!! These bad boys are gorgeous, and in great shape. No one would ever know they were recycled. These vases were along side a TON of other stuff on http://wedding-recycle.com They seriously have everything you could ever want on this site for a fraction of the retail price.

As I was browsing through https://www.tradesy.com these moss table numbers caught my attention and are only $325.00! Purchasing already put together items will usually save you both time and money. Tradesy.com was my favorite site I came across because it was easy to use and everything is broken down into categories. When planning a wedding, you have a lot on your plate. Tradesy helps take a bit of the load off by making their website really user friendly. I recommend you check it out!

There are so many options and choices when it comes to recycling, reusing and re-loving wedding items. There is sometimes a negative connotation when it comes to reusing stuff for weddings. BUT, think of this… every time you rent a linen or a table or a vase from a florist, the items rented have been used before and are now “reused”. Weddings do not have to break the bank and they are usually a lot more enjoyable when they don’t. There are also a lot of awesome sites for bridal gowns, bridesmaid’s dresses, shoes ect. Be on the look out for a post spotlighting our top picks for those sites later on next week!

This year food and drink displays are taking center stage at weddings and events. You just thought having a potato bar and ice sculpture was cool. Just wait until you see what this year has in store for us. We are talking food hanging from the ceiling, donut walls, cups made out of ice…yes, it’s going to get crazy! There is one caterer who has been doing these types of things for awhile now, and many of the images you are going to be seeing are from their events. Catering with a Twist would be a great resource if food installations are something you want to know more about.
